Heart of Hope Ministries International is seeking sponsorship support on behalf of orphans and children in desperate need in Romania. HHMI has been working in Romania since 1991. HHMI provides these deserving children with healthy living situations the Home of Hope Transition Home for young women and My Brother's House Transition Home for young men.
Heart of Hope's Goals- To ease the physical suffering of children in desperate need.
- To enhance the social and emotional environment of the yong people's daily lives.
- To embrace each youth with the love of Christ, bringing them to a saving knowledge of the Savior and a lifelong and eternal relationship with Him.
- To empower each young person with a multitude of skills to become independent, productive and caring members of society.
- Providing Christian education, independent living skills, and renewed hope at the Home of Hope and My Brother's Transition Homes for youth leaving the state system or living in crisis situations.
Transition Homes for Young Women and Men
In the current situation in Romania, HHMI has recognized the need for additional transition homes for young people in potential crisis situations leaving the state orphanage system. Many of these identified candidates have resided their entire life in state run Placement Centers for orphans or on the streets. Due to lack of education in the areas of basic life and job skills the transition home offers a refuge to learn the most fundamental aspects of living. Additionally, they are provided the opportunity to develop a life long relationship with Christ. HHMI currently operates two transition homes in Romania, the Home of Hope transition home for young women and My Brother's House transition home for young men.
The cost of providing care for a young person living in an HHMI sponsored facility is $175.00 per month. HHMI provides opportunities for sponsorship at all levels. Individual sponsors may provide all or a portion of the support required for each child.
