Thank you for your interest in the volunteering with Heart of Hope Ministries International to help ease the suffering of orphans, widows and families in desperate need in Romania. We appreciate the volunteers who work with us here in the United States and in Romania. Our programs development and Romanian National staff are growing and changing, and our work with volunteers is expanding too.
Heart of Hope Ministries International has been serving in Romania since 1991, distributing humanitarian aid, facilitating construction and renovation work in orphanages, providing dental and eye care and pediatric therapy to orphans and children in need. HHMI is well established in Romania to implement and sustain innovative programs throughout the county of Sibiu.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer please complete our HHMI Volunteer Team Member Application which is available for download on our website. Submit you application to HHMI, PO Box 2001, Vancouver, WA 98668-2001. Your application will be reviewed and added to our database and will remain on file for two years. You will be contacted if your skills and interests match an available volunteer opportunity. In addition, all accepted applicants are required to pass a background check at their initiation and expense, must obtain necessary vaccinations and must have a valid passport.
Camp of the Good Shepherd

Medical and Dental Teams
If you are a medical professional who would like to participate on a team serving in Romania, please contact Medical Teams International at www.medicalteams.org to gather more information about specific needs in Romania. HHMI facilitates medical and dental teams for MTI in Romania.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities
There other opportunities for you to take an active role in our His ministry in Romania. Some of the ways you might conside partnering with us to help include:
- Holding a fundraiser in your home or office
- Selling an item through an eBay auction and donating a percentage of the proceeds to Heart of Hope Ministries International
- Donating stocks
- Checking with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program
- Having a bake sale or selling snacks at your school or church
- Organizing an auction to benefit the orphans, widows and families in desperate need in Romania
