Heart of Hope Ministries International welcomes volunteer teams to assist and embrace children with the love of Christ at the Camp of the Good Shepherd. 60 children per week from Romanian orphanages and poor villages are brought for a one-week respite of care and compassion in God's beautiful creation. For many of these children it is their first camping experience and a week to remember for the rest of their lives. The dynamic that an American volunteer team brings is one of enthusiasm, un-conditional love and compassion. The children are intrigued by the uniqueness of the volunteers and due to their circumstances are hungry for the inter-action with team members. Service at the Camp of the Good Shepherd is impacting and lasting for both child and volunteer.

Job Description : Heart of Hope Ministries Int. is seeking a Team Assistant Volunteer. The Team Assistant's duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Child Care Supervision – assisting Romanian staff and American volunteer teams as they minister to Campers. Assisting where necessary in the area's of daily schedule keeping (helping rise children and put to bed, assisting children to the dining room for craft, activity, story, or meal time); assisting American volunteer teams as needed in the area's of craft, game activities and evening fellowship; assisting Romanian staff in supply and food provisions, keeping equipment and supply room orderly.
- Kitchen Duty – food preparation, food service, clean-up.
- Laundry Duty – Sorting, washing, hang-drying, clean-up of camper, camp and personal laundry. *Not responsible for team or staff laundry.
- Grounds Keeping – assisting Romanian staff with the upkeep, safety, and care of the grounds.
- The Team Assistant Volunteer is expected to work Monday through Saturday, with every effort given to ensure a day of rest on Sunday.
- The Team Assistant Volunteer is expected to demonstrate the love of Christ and execute all duties in a responsible manner, assisting both American volunteer teams and Romanian staff where needed.
